Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Pots & Planters UK wants everyone to be able to browse and shop with us, whatever assistive technology or way of navigating the web you use.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That means we work to make the site perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users.
What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML structure and clear heading hierarchy on every page.
- Keyboard navigation across nav, forms, product galleries and the Planter Studio.
- Descriptive alt text on product photography.
- Colour combinations meeting AA contrast ratios in both light and dark contexts.
- ARIA labels on icon-only controls (basket, menu, close).
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motion— decorative motion is suppressed when your OS asks us to.
Known limitations
The 3D product viewer and the Planter Studio’s drag-and-drop composer are visually rich and may be difficult to use with some assistive technologies. We are working on a text-based alternative for both.
